Cathy Amenta LMT, BCTMB
Cathy Amenta is a Nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Life Stylist, and a lifelong Health and Wellness expert.
Her two decades of experience with massage therapy and education offer tremendous insight into stress reduction and the relief of both acute and chronic pain.
Graduating with Honors from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 1998, she excelled in their 1100 hour program.
A lifelong athlete and Colorado native, Cathy is no stranger to an active lifestyle and understanding care for your body; being a state champion track & field hurdler during high school and award winner athlete throughout her attendance at Western State University, in Gunnison, CO.
Today Cathy’s activity is focused on the outdoors and natural vistas the state has to offer through hiking, backpacking, Telemark skiing, mountain biking, and fly-fishing.
Her commitment to the practice of Therapeutic Massage drives Cathy towards continuous study and instruction, to promote its multifaceted benefits.
Since 1997 Cathy has been a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and has spent time as an adjunct professor instructing students in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Hydrotherapy, Reflexology, and similar fields while mentoring within Trinidad State Junior College’s student clinic in Alamosa, CO.
As a two-time survivor of stage IV Ovarian Cancer, Cathy’s work has shifted to encapsulate her specific experience. As a speaker and coach Cathy uses her journey as an example to educate, empower, and aid others who find themselves on a similar path.
One of her greatest joys is also working at Heart Of The Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, CO giving foot reflexology treatments to patients in the Oncology and Infusion department.
Aside from her professional work, Cathy also volunteers her time with the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance providing support and education to fellow survivors.
Cathy is also a two time winning Town Challenge telemark skier. One of her cherished accomplishments in the sport was winning in 2018 while going through chemo treatments and skiing the fastest she has ever skied before; a remarkable triumph that proves intention, visualization, positivity, and determination are a force to be reckoned with.
Her clients receive an uncompromised level of care and dedication from Cathy, who places their individual needs, personality, and situation above all else. Acknowledging stressors from all aspects of one's life or environment, Cathy’s passion is to once again help her clients achieve fullness in every aspect of their lives.
